Der Schriftsteller, Filmemacher und Journalist Damian James Le Bas liest aus seinem Bestseller »The Stopping Places. A Journey Through Gypsy Britain«.

Musik: Riah Knight

Writer, filmmaker and journalist Damian James Le Bas reads from his bestseller »The Stopping Places. A Journey Through Gypsy Britain«. His book deals with the realities of the lives of British Roma, who are gradually changing after the Brexit referendum: The rejection against all those who are perceived as »foreign« grows. Not only the Roma who immigrated to Great Britain from EU countries are affected, but also the British Roma who have lived there for centuries and all the other groups marked by racism. Following on from the reading, Damian James Le Bas and Prof. Dr. Iman Attia, Professor of Critical Diversity Studies at the Alice Salomon University in Berlin, will discuss borders and exclusion in Europe from a racism-critical perspective.

Moderation: Isidora Randjelović, lecturer at the Alice-Salomon-Hochschule für Soziale Arbeit und Sozialpädagogik Berlin, director of the feminist Romani archive »RomaniPhen«.
